After an emotional afternoon visiting our friends and their 2-year-old son in UCSF's pediatric intensive care unit, I'm feeling especially thankful for Jake's health, and extremely ashamed of how often I take it for granted. Hoping with all my heart that our little friend Lucas gets the answers he needs from the specialists at UCSF so he and Jake can play together again soon.
